As the networks grow in complexity so as the need for people who will implement and manage network infrastructure and solutions. A significant skills gap arises when technology outpaces professional skills development. The Associate Diploma in Network Administration has been designed to address these needs. The objective of this program is to produce computer and networking technology graduates who are highly skilled and fully work-ready. The courses in this program contain a balance of current theory and relevant practical skills and help the student prepare for Professional Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT), Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA), CompTIA A+, Linux and PCAP : programming Essentials in Python which are highly accepted and regarded by the industry.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

1. Apply their technical networking skills to pursue successful positions in networking and ICT related fields. 2. Work well in teams, communicate effectively and meet the social and ethical responsibilities of their profession. 3. Pursing lifelong learning relevant to their profession, including earning advanced degrees based on their background or completing professional training.
4. Become a highly skilled network professional that will be able to integrate into the local and global workforce and contribute to the economy of Bahrain.

PROGRAM INTENTDED LEARNING OUTCOMES

a. Explain advanced concepts and theories of computer networking to various situations.
b. Apply professional practices related to ethics, legal, security and social issues.
c. Apply advanced key management skills, effective work habits, teamwork, leadership, adhering to deadlines and communicate effectively with a range of audiences.
d. Recognize the need for and engage in continuing professional development by pursuing international industry certifications and or higher education.
e. Design network infrastructure by selecting appropriate devices, topologies, protocols, systems software, network services and security. f. Develop solutions for networking and security problems by analyzing performance, troubleshooting and implementing new technologies. g. Build small to medium sized networks using the latest technologies.
