FACULTY BIO

Engr. Herbert Penoso Azuela, MSc, is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Administrative and Technical Programs, College of Applied Studies, University of Bahrain. His expertise includes Cybersecurity, Computer Networks, Internet of Things, Digital Electronics, Microprocessors and Embedded Systems, Computer Hardware and Software, Robotics, Mechatronics (Pneumatics, Hydraulics, PLC, etc.), Microsoft Windows OS and Server, Microsoft Office Applications and Linux. He graduated with a Master of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in AMA Computer University, Philippines in 2004 and 2000, respectively. He holds a CCNA and CyberOps Associate Professional Certification and the success lead of the Cisco Networking Academy, ASC and ITC in the College of Applied Studies since 2014. He is a recipient of the Cisco Global Cyber Ops Scholarship in 2018. He recently passed the Cisco Instructor Trainer Qualification in 2020. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK and the Coordinator of the College Quality Assurance Office. He is an active member of the ICpEP Singapore Chapter and Certified Professional Computer Engineer by CpECB, Philippines. He authored/co-authored several academic programs in the College and supervises technical projects. He is also an active member/ chair of Department, College and University level committees.
