FACULTY BIO

Dr. Hala Hatoum is an assistant professor at the University of Bahrain with over 15 years’ experience in the finance, entrepreneurship and education fields. She is a finance professional, a Blockchain technology enthusiast, and an ex-financial analyst and business counselor at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) -Bahrain. Her professional experience spans the U.S.A, the U.A.E, Lebanon and the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Hatoum holds a PhD in from Brunel University London, U.K, an MBA from the University of Toledo, U.S.A and a B.Sc. from the American University of Beirut (AUB), Lebanon. She is certified as a Microsoft Certified Educator MCE, a Certified Blockchain Expert CBE, and a Certified Blockchain Developer CBD. Dr. Hatoum is a researcher and advocate in the fields of entrepreneurship, gender studies and leadership and has chaired and published in many scientific conferences and journals and serves as an editor and reviewer in many others. She remains constantly involved in entrepreneurship building programs as a consultant, volunteer, and mentor. Dr. Hatoum has served in many roles leading administrative tasks committees and initiatives at the University of Bahrain. Dr. Hatoum has been inaugurated into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society since 2007.
